Preheat feature for VTC Dual?

Dear Community,
dear Joyetech-Team,

i'm wondering if anyone has information about the Evic VTC Dual and if its going to have that new pre-heat feature.

Obviously, it should.  眨眼

However, the product page http://www.joyetech.com/product/evic-vtc-dual/ and the downloadable manual are absolutely silent about pre-heat. Further, firmware version 4.02 is mentioned to be the current firmware and I could not find a firmware update for this mod in "downloads".

Any information about an approximate release date for x.04 firmware would be highly appreciated.

I have a new device. I installed it conform the instruction video on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfDXgpyE-wY (since there was no complete manual included in the box) , made sure i followed everything correctly, but whatever i do, the device spits out fuming balls of hot liquid. Hot enough to cause burns on the skin.
No need to say this device is unuseable for me. I did read the other threads on this forum, and it seems this is normal behaviour??

If it is indeed, this is the first and the last device I bought from joyetech.

also: where the heck is the complete manual for this device? http://www.joyetech.com/manuals/ only has the minimal manual which is included in the box, which is very incomplete.

protection mode kicking in after firmware update on the Cuboid.

Hello all fellow vapers. Let me first start off by saying that I am very pleased with the Cuboid. The build quality is just excellent and I have have not smoked a single cigarette since the start. I bought this device back in April and have been vaping steady since. It is also very nice to see that Joyetech is keeping up with updates and adding new features - kudos to Joyetech!. I have recently run into a couple of problems with the device lately though, that almost got me to a point where I wanted to toss out my cuboid and I actually thought about picking up old habits again - just to get my "fix". I will go into details.

CURRENT SETUP:
Cuboid 150w (hardware version 1.01)
Uwell crown tank
Uwell RBA
26ga SS316L stainless steel coil (vertical) (5 wraps)
LG 18650HG2 3000mAh High Discharge 18650 batteries (married)

CUBOID SETTINGS:
TCR VALUE : 108
Heat : 200C
Watts : 20 (locked)
Coil resistance : 0.36

I started off using the stock coils that came with the Uwell crown when I first got the Cuboid (still on stock firmware). These worked out just fine but as i read more into building coils myself, I wanted to try wicking my own coils and bought the uwell RBA coil. The building was fairly easy and so i started building vertical coils instead of vertical coils in the RBA and the vape and taste was just pure heaven!. I started playing with TCR mode and found the perfect value. I really like that you can easily update the firmware on the Cuboid and I gotta hand it to Joyetech for the support part. They still support the Cuboid by releasing firmwares with new features. And at some time I downloaded one of the more recent firmwares. This is where this pleasant experience ends.

I downloaded and flashed the 3.03 firmware and thought nothing of it. At first i did not notice any difference. But after a while I suddenly noticed that the "Protection" kicked in all the time and the wattage jumped very low around 2-5-8-1-2. There was very little vapor and I experienced alot of dry hits and the taste was just awful. yuck!. And so I tried adjusting the temperature higher and higher to gain a more powerful hit. That helped a little but now the cotton burned out alot faster and i was left with that burnt, dry and awful taste. But still, the protection kicked in all the time. Okay so I thought that i must be doing this all wrong somewhere and ended ripping the tank apart and cleaned it thoroughly. Put it all back together, created a new coil, dry burned the coil a little and tucked in new cotton and built it back together. Juiced it up and started slow at a low wattage and gradually working my way back to the normal temps. Still the "protection" appeared and at a low wattage mode. It was like this a couple of weeks and as i was getting more and more impatient with the setup and my craving for a good vape, it almost tipped me over to going back to old habits. I was now experiencing no juice taste at all (vapors tongue). I though to myself that I have done something to the device that is causing this. perhaps damage to the internal electronics due to a leakage of some kind or a bad connection between the tank and the Cuboid. Then Joyetech released a new firmware and I thought yay this issue is probably fixed now so I tried out the new firmware (5.14). There was no change to my surprise and so i thought i should just give up.

A couple of days later my buddy received a new Cuboid with the same tank and RBA as me. He had tried out my device when it was working properly and he wanted to quit smoking too. We moved the Uwell tank from my device to his and bang! working perfect! perfect clouds and a wonderful taste spot on!. So i went "what the hell!?". And then it hit me. I did update the Cuboid firmware on my device from 3.02 to 3.03 some time earlier. So i downloaded the 3.02 firmware and flashed it back to my Cuboid. Set up the TCR values again and puffed away. WOW! working perfect again. So none of the firmware released after 3.02 was working out for me. I tested flashing the 3.03 firmware my buddy's Cuboid with his crown tank and the exact same problem appeared. A couple of things i noticed also:

* The batteries are draining themselves in the 5.04 and 5.14 firmware (have not tested with the earlier ones). Even if the Cuboid is powered off.
* Charging over USB seems slower in the 5.04 and 5.14 firmware (although it is not recommended to charge this way!)
* The Cuboid is generating alot more heat in the 3.03fw and higher (don't know if this has something to do with the protect mode kicking in) and so the batteries are drained quicker when vaping.
* Power and temp ss316 mode is working fine in both old and new firmwares

I guess the Cuboid mini and the eVIC devices could also have these issues if the firmwares are similar but I have now tried this. Please comment if you have experience the same thing or if it's just me and my setup that is incompatible with these new firmwares. Perhaps this is something Joyetech could look into.

Conclusion : The device is working perfect on 3.02 firmware.

Replacement O-Rings and Glass

I bought the eVic VTC Dual with ULTIMO in black. When I purchased it online, I knew that it did not come with any extra o-rings or a spare glass. I would like to purchase extra o-rings in black and red, and a spare glass, but I can't find where to purchase these items. I did find a spare glass at a UK website, but I would rather not order from them. I could not find any o-rings anywhere that are made specifically for the Ultimo tank.

So, how would I go about acquiring these items, preferably from Joyetech, without having to purchase another Ultimo tank? I would like to purchase some MG ceramic coils too.

Any help would be much appreciated.

evic vtwo upside down

Hello every body.

I have a some problem in my eVic VTwo (not the mini version), the problem is that some day the screen upside down like the picture.

But the problem is that, I can´t find any information or function than can flip the screen, in the Mini version, the screen flip if you turn off the advice and press the + and - buttons, but in my version, does´t exist that buttons, I tray to reset the eVic and update the firmware of the last version, but nothing work.

Please, I hope some solution, because I don´t like how it looks.

Cuboid - Not working after unboxing

I've been extremely excited for the past few weeks awaiting my cuboid. Yesterday I received it and very thing seemed to be working fine until the cuboid shut down in my hands and wouldn't turn back on again.

•No, stealth mode isn't on
•Batteries are placed correctly and charged
•I have pressed the fire button 5 times (countless times)
•There is no imperfection on the product

I put it back into its box and just now took it out only to find it almost as hot as fire.

Any suggestions? I'm pretty disappointed by the product, definitely not recommending it.

eVic Vt dont fire the atomizer

Hello every body.

I have the evic VT (first version), the problem is wen I try to burn in any mod (Ni, Ti, Power), the evic don´t fire, this happen in any atomizer and is the same whit the ego One, and if I put any atomizer, the evic don´t read the new value of the resistance, and if I unplug the atomizer, the evic dont reset the value in 000, the evic show some value but is not the correct value, is like the evic need to reset or reload the firmware again, but this version don´t have the option or the button, what can I do?

I think that the problem is in the software, because if I choose the mode Ni, and press the fire button, in automatic the system choose the mode Power, and the evic only count the time for the protection but dont work the atomizer.

Note:the resistance is not locked

My new eVic VTC Dual with ULTIMO in black arrived today!
I haven't been this excited about a new toy in years.

Before I used the ceramic coil for the first time, I had no idea what a huge improvement in flavor the ULTIMO ceramic coil could deliver. Now I know. OMG, my e liquid tastes a million times better now.

eVic VTC Dual with ULTIMO

My new eVic VTC Dual with ULTIMO (Black) just arrived today.
I'm very happy 大咧嘴 but I had a few questions.

This is my first time using a ceramic coil. I'm not exactly sure what settings to choose for a ceramic coil. I searched around for any help I could find with choosing the correct settings, but I'm still a little confused and I'm not 100% sure that I am using the correct settings.

These are the settings that I am currently using:

I'm using 2 batteries
Ceramic Coil
TEMP SS316
360 F
40w
It's reading 0.56 ohm
I also have the air flow open about a 1/4 of the way.

I'm using a digital clock, but I think it only allows military hours instead of AM/PM. I would prefer AM/PM if possible. Is there a way to do that?

I also have it set to 40w because I don't want to drain the batteries fast, but I don't know if it makes a huge difference.

I'm not cloud chaser. I use 12mg nicotine and I take a big hit and hold it for about 5 seconds and then let it out. And I only take about 1 or 2 big hits and then I wait about 10 to 20 minutes, or longer, before I use it again.

So is TEMP SS316 the correct setting to choose for the ceramic coil?
I do prefer to use temp control, but that is because I have mostly used Nickle coils in the past with my old box mod.

Also, the tank seems to get very hot with the settings that I am currently using after I take 2 big hits. Is that normal?

If somebody else is using the same eVic VTC Dual with ULTIMO and a ceramic coil, what settings are you currently using? Or what would be the perfect settings to use?

Cubis Pro dry hits

Hi All

I'm new to the group and have recently moved over from a vape pen to the eVic VTwo Mini with Cubis pro tank. I am using the 0.5 coil in Temp mode SS316. The vape shop where I purchased my device from told me that every time I change my coil or refill the e-juice I need to blow quite hard down the mouth piece, this works fine (I think). The issue I'm experiencing is about 1 day after changing to a new coil I start to get dry hits and minimal vape production. The only way around this that found is to blow down the mouth piece before every drag, then I get good flavor and nice vape, if I don't do that then I get virtually no flavor and a slight burnt taste in my mouth. Am I doing something wrong here ?

eVic AIO misbehaving

I purchased 2 AIO's about 2 months ago to replace a failed egrip. I really like the all in one profile for work... Today, the first eVic started acting as if the "-" button on the bottom being pressed continually, even though it still physically presses and clicks. As soon as I powered on, the wattage setting dropped on its own. After pressing the "-" button a few times, hard, the device seemed to work fine. This afternoon I attempted to unlock it while on break and it shows key lock with an upside-down screen. Looks like the button is registering being pressed again and nothing I do seems to make it release. Any thoughts? Device hasn't been dropped or wetted or otherwise mis-handled, other than some blemishes to the finish from being in my pocket.

eGo AIO Box - Not charging or working

Hello.

I have tried contacting you guys for a while, but no response.

My eGo AIO Box stopped working. It does not display ANY light at all when not plugged in, and when plugged in just blinks in this sequence:
1 very short red
3 long white
5 short white

I have changed coil, tried different chargers, cleaned all contact surfaces, and I feel like I've tried everything.

It's an original and I have the warranty code (sent it via. email aswell), and bought it about 1 month ago.

Tesla 80W TC

I have a Tesla 80W TC mod and am looking for a tank that would be compatible, preferably with coils running at lower wattages like in the 30 to 60 range. I was thinking maybe an Aspire Cleito or a Kanger Toptank. Does anyone have a suggestion for a tank that will take TC coils and PO coils and has little or no spit-back.
