Best solution to fix Cuboidmini stopping gurgling , flooding , cracking pop

Hello all,
I come from Vietnam
I bought my cuboid mini to replace my old egrip version 1 and I got the same problems like yours ( gurgling , flooding , cracking pop sound ... ) . I had experiences with my old egrip and finally found the solution to fix the cuboid mini problems .
I show you guys how I did :
1/ Use the RBA coil including with the product .
2/ Modify the RBA coil :
  * You have to seal all the holes in the bottom of the RBA coil , including the screw hole keeping the negative pin of the coil . ( In my case I use the bamboo wooden tooth picker )
  * Do not use the way the original keep the negative pin of the coil . Change the way the negative pin contacts to the RBA like the original notch coil . The step is to seal all the holes in the bottom of the RBA coi.
[Image: 16ks49i.jpg]
3/ I replace the RBA original coil 0,5mm to the Nichrome 28gauge with length of 3 inches . Make the vertical coil 8 rounds with the diameter of 2,5mm  . Wrap the coil with cotton wick . Finally , assemble the coil to the RBA base.
   Cut the adundant piece of coil
4/ Narrow the tip hole to 1,5mm diameter by whatever you invent , in my case I use the hearing aid earmold 微笑
[Image: 1g0vog.jpg]
[Image: 2vkch3t.jpg]
Please note that when you install the coil , the ohm is around 1,2ohm - 1,4ohm on the cuboid mini display
Now fill a few juice drop to the coil and assemble all the rest to the main unit.
5/ Maximize the air inlet ( turning it clockwise until it stops rotating )
Now enjoy your cuboid mini with smooth hit .
If you do the right thing , you will notice that only the water steam stain in the drip tip , not the juice . That 's correct .
Sorry for my bad English

eVic VTwo settings

Hi all,

I recently quit smoking and have switched to vaping to help with that process. I bought what I now assume to be a knock off eGo-T pen and have enjoyed using it with a 50/50 6mg juice. The only draw back I found is that I'd tend to puff on it constantly, so I decided to buy a box mod to hopefully produce a bigger cloud with more nicotine. I purchased a eVic VTwo / Cubis pro starter kit along with some 50/50 12mg juice. The kit came with an assortment of coils, but I also purchased a 5 pack of the SS316-0.5ohm coils.

I'm having trouble with the settings on the new VTwo. I'd like to get similar results as the pen with maybe a slightly bigger cloud, but so far have only been able to get it to crackle and pop and spit liquid juice out of the mouth piece. I did presoak a SS316-0.5 coil before use, but I'm wondering if one of the other coils might be better for my application. I am completely unsure of what setting to use and where to start, so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a few other quick questions. I do still enjoy the cheap, knock off pen and was hoping to use it as a backup / secondary device. I was wondering if the coils in it can be replaced or if the pen is just disposable? I'm also unsure as to how often one should replace coils and how to know it's time to do so. If anyone has a link or two to some vaping beginner resources, that would be appreciated too.

Cheers,
Plan

Cuboid Mini Kit usb port malfunction

Hello,

I was using my Cuboid mini kit for 3 months now and today I learned that the device won't charge. I tried with different cables and the problem still persisted, only when I bent the cable really hard I was able to charge it for a while. When I tried to push the cable harder, the usb port fell inside the device and is unreachable. When I shake my Cuboid I can hear the port inside. Now I cannot charge my device, therefore I can't use it too.
My question is: With what screwdriver will I be able to open the device? Is there any hope that this port might still be functional?

Greetings from western Canada

Greetings from a retired computer guy in western Canada.

Switched to vaping a while ago for ETR (Excessive Tax Reduction) and have mostly used iSticks up until recently.  Then I decided to switch to temperature control and  my main unit is now an eVic VTC mini with Cubis tank and it is working very well.

I worked on electronics for most of my life starting with Hewlett Packard minicomputers in 1973.  When the Altair microcomputers came out in '75 and sold by the thousands I thought nobody but a HAM radio operator would want a computer at home.  By the end of 1978 after Radio Shack had sold more than 200k TRS-80 MCSs it became clear that a great many people wanted their own personal computer.  By the early '80s Commodore, Radio Shack, Atari, and others, were selling millions of computers for personal use at home and almost every major retailer was selling some sort of computer.

The people that had been selling the Altairs were technicians and engineers but the mass market machines were being peddled by the same people that had been selling  toasters and electric shavers just weeks before.  This led to a joke/riddle in the mid-eighties; Question:  What is the difference between a computer salesman and a used-car salesman?  Answer:  The used-car salesman knows when he is lying to you.

So, now that vaping devices are selling by the millions, what is the difference between a vaping salesman and a used-car salesman?

BLE / FindMyMod feature

I have a small key chain called tile.
It's connected to my phone using BLE and an app on the phone checks every now and then if the key chain is still in sight. If not, the phone records the current position.
If I can't find my phone, I double press the button on the key chain and my phone rings.
If I can't find my keys, I push a button on the phone app and the key chain rings.

I would love to have the same feature integrated in my mod, because I often have to search for it.

Second case I press the fire button and then instantaneously gets me back to VW mode and when it switches back the VW is always on 20 W so sad and dissappointing

Is there something I can do?

eVic VTwo coil (need help)

Hey there, I'm trying to figure out the new coils for the eVic VTwo. I had the eVic VT before hand and now the VTwo have a bunch of different coils that I don't know how to use or what settings to use. I have in the SS316, I think that's what it's called at least, but I've been looking around and some people say you can use it in Wattage mode but I'm not sure if that right or not. I'm basically just looking for a direction on how to use the coils and what settings i use for each. Some of the coils are the LVC Clapton 1.5ohms MTL, Ni 0.2, SS316 0.5 DL 15-30W and then the last one i don't know the name of, all it says is QCS Coil. If anyone could lead me through each coil or any of them would be a big help. Thank you!

Easy fix for spitting.

My 1.0 ohm atomizer was working fine so I decided to try the 0.5 ohm that came with the tank. It produced no vapour so I turned up the power. AYIEEE!, hot liquid shot out of the drip tip. Then I went on the forums and found that the most recommended fix was to raise up the drip tip and attach a new tank underneath. That was not going to happen since i quit smoking because I could no longer afford it and that goes for buying new vaping gear every week too.

When I looked at the problem it seemed that the atomizer was producing gas and that propelled hot liquid up the air tube. The path from the atomizer was completely open and that sometimes allowed the hot liquid to get to the drip tip. My first attempt at a solution was to insert a shortened cigarette filter into the drip tip. That worked but the gas flow was reduced dramatically.

My next fix was to take some plastic screen from a screen door repair kit and cut three disks using a paper punch. Then I removed the drip tip, put the three screens down the hole and replaced the tip. That eliminated the spitback completely and I have been vaping the whole day without any problems at all.

Now it is working fine but it produces much more vapour than I expected a small tank could.

Request: Firmware that lets you downgrade wattage

$
0
0
Hi,

in regards to battery safety, can you please release a firmware that lets you downgrade the max wattage you can set in your mod?

Example:
I_batt = 1,20 * P / (n * 3)

I_batt = drawn current
P = set Wattage
n = number of batteries
3 = cut off voltage
1,20 = 20% loss bc of efficiency

In case of VTC mini, worst case scenario -almost empty batteries, with wattage (maybe accidental, drunk, error) set to 75Watt, and e.g. steady firing/button pressing in your pants,
I_batt = 1,2 * 75W / 3V = 30A

30A, thats more than vaping batteries can handle!

e.g. Sony Konion vtc6 is only "ok" with 30A when there is a safety temperature cutoff at 80°C. If there is not, the battery may explode anyway as its keeps getting hotter. Otherwise its only fit for 15A.
Even VTC5A is not fit for 30A continous discharge.

I only vape with like e.g. 20W. Most people vape in that range, no where near 75W.

Why not give the option to limit the max wattage, adjusted to what the battery can do?

Safety is king!
