Hey all, I've got two funny-ish vape stories to tell from the short time I've been vaping:
My mom (who has encouraged me to quit smoking but isn't exactly happy that I still use nicotine) said, when she saw me vaping outside, "You're producing too much vapor. Isn't that tank you put on there kind of wasteful?"
I didn't know how to respond, but I intuitively know from the little experience I have that I am not wasting a drop of vapor doing this. So I said that it wasn't wasteful because the point for me was to make a big cloud and get the nicotine (which the guy at the store said was delivered to my bloodstream much more efficiently than a cigarette). She said, "well, you're spending a lot of money on that stuff." To which I replied: Well, actually, I'm not spending anywhere close to the amount I would on cigarettes and it still lasts me a while at the rate I do it.
So, we decided not to argue anymore. But it was funny because it is demonstrative of general ignorance of how vaping works.
Second story: a woman was outside my apartments while I was vaping, she asked me for a lighter. I said that I don't smoke anymore. Then she saw what I was doing and said, "Oh, you do know those are much worse for you than cigarettes." I asked where she got that information and she couldn't answer. Obviously, she had been lied to somewhere because e-cigs are like 96% safer and most of the non-safe issues are people overcharging and blowing up their mods or being idiots with their vape devices in general.
Okay, third thing as a bonus (I've been asked this lol):
Sh*t non-vapers say #1- "Is that a portable bong?"
