evic VT Not Charging

Hello I have a evic vt that will no longer charge. after looking around on reddit it appears it is a common problem with the evic vt model. Is there a way to fix this? I have checked the charger and it works. nothing has changed and it has worked flawlessly for close to a year until now. should i take it apart?

any help? I'm a fan but starting to think maybe this wasnt a wise purchase.
